Aubay is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to serve as a pivotal figure providing technical leadership and steering architectural design decisions within an exciting and rewarding environment. Your role will involve close collaboration with diverse business and IT stakeholders to ensure the alignment of day-to-day operations with overarching technical objectives. If you possess the skills and experience outlined below, we'd love to hear from you.
Required Technical Skills and Experience
- Proficient in Python on Linux, with a strong focus on Platform Engineering; familiarity with React and NodeJS
- Exceptional technical writing abilities to convey complex problems to end-users effectively, both in written and verbal formats
- Extensive expertise in Docker, Azure AKS, Azure Functions, Web Apps, and Event and Streaming architectures (e.g., Event Hub, Service Bus, Kafka, etc.)
- Demonstrable experience (at least 5+ years) in CI/CD delivery leveraging GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes-native CI/CD tools like Flux or ArgoCD
- Extensive usage of Testing frameworks such as Cypress, JMeter, and K6
- Implementation proficiency in various Authentication and Authorization solutions for users and machine-to-machine scenarios
- Practical Agile experience within startup and enterprise environments
- Demonstrated mastery in Cloud Security practices
- Proficiency in API testing

- Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing and interpreting their needs effectively.
- Proficiency in generating technical designs to address complex business challenges while considering risk, complexity, cost, and value.
- Ability to sustain delivery momentum by managing team pace, addressing risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
- Skilled in streamlining processes, identifying unnecessary complexities, and coaching teams to adapt and improve existing organizational processes.
- Excellent planning capabilities, using data to inform prioritization, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery confidence, while adeptly handling blockers and difficult situations
- Proficiency in DevOps leadership (DevOps Leader (DOL) certification would be highly desirable)
- Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to guide and implement strategic technical decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Cultivate and sustain high-performing teams, overseeing recruitment processes and nurturing professional growth opportunities for staff members.
- Protect team dynamics by fostering collaboration, effective communication, and concentration on key objectives.
- Proactively manage dependencies, troubleshoot obstacles, and optimize value within given constraints.
- Foster a community-focused environment, coaching team members and crafting materials to support strong Developer Relations and self-service capabilities.
