Role Summary

Aubay is seeking a Power BI Architect to join our industry leading crypto custodian client. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and optimizing our current reporting architecture, defining target architecture, and implementing scalable solutions to meet our expanding business needs. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure proper data governance, data sets management, and PowerBi environments management. Additionally, you will provide support for the production platform and facilitate the internal adoption of PowerBi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting Architecture Review and Target Architecture Definition:
  • Review current reporting setup, data flows, and reports creation process.
  • Confirm suitability of selected reporting solution (PowerBi/O365).
  • Define scalable target architecture (Azure/O365 with AWS integration).
  • Assess sizing and storage needs.
  • Evaluate data extraction approaches and optimize for performance.
  • Internal Reporting Operations:
  • Define target operating model aligned with user and client needs.
  • Implement target architecture model.
  • Review and define licensing requirements.
  • Review and optimize access provisioning processes.
  • Enhance data governance structure and documentation.
  • Review and optimize existing data sets.
  • PowerBi Environments Management:
  • Operationalize process for delivering new functionalities and fixes across environments.
  • Develop structured testing approach per environment.
  • Provide guidance for QA team on testing procedures.
  • Production Platform Support:
  • Define staff profiles needed to support reporting solution.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Define support model and provide training.
  • Determine internal adoption strategy for PowerBi.
  • Usability Features:
  • Enable self-provisioning and report/dashboard creation for users.
  • Implement scheduling and automated reporting features.
  • Enhance dashboarding and graphing functionalities.

Key Deliverables

  • Detailed action plan, design documents, and implementation plan.
  • Implementation of target solution within expected timeframe.
  • Evidence of adherence to AWS, Azure, and other best practices.
  • Training, handover, and support for technical staff.
  • Function and Non-Functional Design of a Data Warehouse compliant with internal standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
  • Proficiency in PowerBi/O365.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, etc.).
