Role Summary

Aubay is seeking a proactive Scrum Master to join our client’s team within Financial Services. As an agent of change, you will actively propagate Agile ways of working and best practices across the company. You will be responsible for overseeing the application of Agile principles, tools, and techniques (e.g., LEAN, Scrum of Scrums, etc.), fostering Agile practices within chosen frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Agile@Scale, etc.) for maximum success and benefits for the product, with a focus on strategic transformational changes in cloud solutions. Being a servant leader, you will provide support and coaching to the Product Owner, squad, and stakeholders, facilitating relations and ensuring optimal collaboration. You will also facilitate collaboration with stakeholders all the way to the customer and support in PMO and organizational governance as required. Required Skills and Experience 


  • Over 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master/Coach role - Scrum Master certification required  
  • Effective governance and stakeholder management (IT and Business) 
  • Ability to lead & motivate Agile and cross-functional teams 
  • Knowledge of the Software Development roles and lifecycle 
  • Awareness and appreciation of IT and Business Risk & Cybersecurity 
  • Ability to develop others & improve their skills (skill, culture, mind-set) 
  • Awareness of Lean, Agile Scrum, Agile Kanban, DevSecOps, Design Thinking 
  • Understanding of Tribe and Guild approach and ability to create / support a new Squad, Tribe, etc. for new product 
  • Ability to manipulate Agile processes in line with business and delivery needs
  • Experience in cloud transformation


Key Role Responsibilities 


To guarantee the method for the benefit of the Product: 

  • Is the contact person for and oversees application of Agile values and principles within the squad  
  • Applies the Agile approach and coordinates or facilitates the necessary procedures, governance and ceremonies 
  • Supports continuous improvement through feedback or other initiatives to improve squad efficiency 
  • Supports and coaches the Squad and Product Owner in implementing the Agile framework, proposing tried and tested or innovative techniques for defining, prioritising, developing and estimating, etc. 
  • Participates in the promotion of Agility 


As a facilitator: 

  • Ensures fluid communication and promotes a positive atmosphere in the squad; leveraging appropriate tooling and governance 
  • Monitors deliveries (usually in Sprints) and actively supports the Squad in finding solutions to problems, whether technical, organisational or human-related 
  • Supports and coaches the Product owner in managing the Backlog 
  • Contributes to the reporting of reliable information regarding the progress of the squad’s work and / or the product 
  • Contributes and supports the governance required of the Squad from PMO or the wider organisation 


To manage the integration of the squad: 

  • Anticipates the need for the Squad 
  • Supports Agile@Scale, where required 
  • Helps with the integration of newcomers 


To participate in agility management within a guild and/or chapter: 

  • Helps to create and enhance tools that are reusable within the community 
  • Helps to produce relevant content inspired by his/her experiences, particularly for training purposes
