Role Summary
Aubay is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our client’s Program and Project Management (P&PM) Capability Centre. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as the organisation transforms its business to meet ambitious goals, including net-zero emissions by 2050, whilst delivering a strong societal license to operate. You will play a key role in delivering value globally across multiple business lines and geographies. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a body of work organised into programmes, projects, and workstreams, using a combination of both agile and waterfall methodologies. You will need domain expertise in areas such as Chemicals, Deepwater, Retail, Finance, Legal, HR, and Capital Projects. The role also requires proficiency with modern technologies, including cloud, mobile, software-as-a-service, and digital platforms, alongside professional and entrepreneurial skills such as leadership, communication, critical thinking, stakeholder management, and business-value creation. This role is critical to driving organisational change, delivering strategic initiatives, and shaping the future direction of the company.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven programme and project delivery skills, with experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Strong domain knowledge in business lines such as Chemicals, Deepwater, Retail, Finance, Legal, HR, and Capital Projects.
- Proficiency with modern technologies, including cloud, mobile, software-as-a-service, and digital platforms.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and inspiring high performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse groups.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on value creation, critical thinking, and the ability to develop compelling stories that drive stakeholder engagement.

Key Role Responsibilities
- Deliver programmes, projects, and workstreams to agreed time, cost, quality, risk, and benefit profiles, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s standards and control framework.
- Proactively analyse variances against plan to assess risks that could affect scope, time, cost, and quality, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure successful delivery.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including users, customers, and suppliers, to ensure they benefit fully from the delivered products, services, and changes.
- Develop and implement effective change and engagement plans to achieve necessary behavioural changes and maximise benefits for the organisation.
- Align stakeholder expectations and ensure timely and effective decision-making across the programme lifecycle.
- Mobilise and lead teams composed of staff and suppliers across organisational boundaries and the natural team, ensuring the team has the necessary skills, capacity, and experience to achieve required outcomes.
- Develop the skills of team members through coaching, delegation, and providing stretching assignments.
- Understand, assess, and embed the right delivery methodologies, considering the project and business constraints to ensure optimal execution.
- Continuously assess programme risks, making trade-offs between cost, time, quality, and risk to maximise the overall benefits, while managing the business cases of constituent projects and workstreams.
- Ensure all deliverables, whether software, processes, or operational solutions, meet the necessary standards of quality, efficiency, and value to the business.
