Role Summary
Aubay is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a focus on IT business processes, adoption, and change management to join our global client in the Financial Services sector. Your core responsibility will be to drive the implementation, optimisation, and adoption of IT business processes while collaborating with stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into actionable IT solutions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in IT change management, business process improvement, and a blend of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting to a hybrid project management environment. Join our team and play a pivotal role in fostering innovative ways of working, aligning IT solutions with organisational goals, and managing IT-driven change effectively. This role requires the successful candidate to be onsite in Solihull three days a week; this is a non-negotiable requirement.
Required Skills and Experience
- Prince2 and/or Agile Project Management Certification.
- Over 5+ years of experience managing simultaneous complex programmes/projects within Financial Services.
- Proven experience in IT business process optimisation and adoption projects.
- Expertise in IT change management, including gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
- Strong understanding of aligning IT solutions with business goals and promoting innovation.
- Knowledge of IT platforms and related technologies.
- Strong experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Delivery-focused with effective problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Effective risk assessment and management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management ability.
- Proven budget control and cost management experience.
- Strong MS Product skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), Team Foundation Server (TFS), etc.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation, optimisation, and adoption of IT business processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Foster innovative ways of working and promote IT solutions that address evolving business needs.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into actionable IT solutions.
- Manage IT-driven change initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption across the organisation.
- Follow the established Project Management Methodology and produce key project management documents.
- Prepare necessary reports, including status, specialist, and exception reports.
- Identify, secure, and efficiently deploy both external and internal project resources.
- Develop and maintain the project plan, monitoring activities and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Review and accept work packages throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage budgets, teams, and work streams day-to-day to ensure product delivery and meet specific project goals.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, including contingency planning.
- Conduct risk assessments at key points in the project lifecycle and address issues efficiently.
- Adapt management style to project circumstances, team dynamics, and the level of change required.
- Foster an environment where colleagues are encouraged to suggest continuous improvements.
- Manage key stakeholders, adapting approach and stance as circumstances change.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and statutory obligations within the assigned responsibility area.
- Participate in required training, building on own professional development and expertise.
