The First Few Months

So, the first step is over; what next?

Once consultants are embedded within their client teams, our focus becomes helping them settle in by building relationships and starting to make an impact. Starting a new role is daunting enough without walking into it blind. That's why we take onboarding seriously, ensuring consultants have a clear understanding of both the client organisation and the team they'll be working with. From key introductions to ongoing guidance, we aim to make those first few weeks as smooth as possible.

Finding Your Place

Richard Ademefun reflected on this belonging, highlighting that if, for whatever reason, he didn't enjoy a particular placement, he knew he could be redeployed elsewhere with "Aubay backing [him] the whole time." He also noted that one of the things he particularly enjoyed was being able to experience the culture, support and events of both organisations.

Stephen Barclay summed up his experience simply, saying that Aubay "have got my corner."

For Zain Habib, that sense of connection remained important throughout his journey, describing how it was reassuring to know he could "go into the Aubay office and connect with the network at any time."

Perhaps the strongest reflection came from Phumlani Mbuqe, who explained that he always felt he would be welcomed back to the "Aubay family" and that the business truly puts people first.

Looking Back

Once embedded in a client organisation, consultants do indeed grow, while also gaining a sense of pride in the work they are doing.

Another recently converted employee, Teppo Perä, said that "one achievement [he’s] particularly proud of is delivering a real-time trade insight platform for energy traders." This opportunity is one of many that led him to make the move directly with the client, following their trust and respect.
