Role Summary

Aubay is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Trading or LNG experience to play a key role in capturing business problems, assessing risks and opportunities, and translating requirements into functional solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, IT teams, and software suppliers to ensure business needs are met while driving process improvements and optimising technology solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must have strong Trading or LNG experience. 
  • Agile project experience, including familiarity with Agile frameworks and tools. 
  • Ability to educate stakeholders, including Product Owners and Business Partners, on Agile ways of working. 
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts, data/process analysis, modelling, and product solutions. 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 
  • 4–7 years of IT experience with a focus on business analysis and process optimisation. 

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, translating them into actionable functionality. 
  • Assess risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impact to support informed decision-making. 
  • Model processes, data flows, and technology to evaluate current value, identify issues, and propose improvements. 
  • Create and update clear documentation of requirements to align with solutions throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs through testing, scope changes, and final implementation. 
  • Interact with software suppliers, designers, and developers to understand system limitations and ensure business requirements are met. 
  • Configure and document software and processes using agreed standards and tools. 
  • Define acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet business needs through structured testing coordination. 
  • Develop and present compelling business cases to justify solution value, securing approval, funding, and prioritisation. 
  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control business analysis activities within agreed cost, time, and quality parameters. 
  • Lead stakeholder management activities and facilitate large design sessions. 
  • Guide teams in completing business analysis tasks across multiple projects. 
  • Define and coordinate testing efforts to ensure successful solution implementation.
