  • Comprehensive awareness of financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines.
  • Proven ability to analyse and map RFQ, order, and trade lifecycles.
  • Hands-on experience delivering scalable algorithmic trading technology in line with regulatory and audit compliance (e.g. MIFID II, RTS 6).
  • Familiarity with EMS/OMS platforms such as TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg and TradingScreen.
  • Strong background in FIX engineering, trading lifecycle, order execution, allocation, settlement, and compliance.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL, with scripting knowledge in PowerShell, C# or equivalent languages.
  • Experience supporting application deployment, vendor interaction, and messaging protocol troubleshooting (e.g. TCP, multicast).
  • Versed in both Windows and Linux operating environments.

Desired Skills and Experience

  •  Certification in CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA is an advantage.
  •  Exposure to Lean Practitioner principles or training.
  • Agile certifications or relevant training (e.g. SAFe, Scrum Master) preferred.
  • Experience working on technology transformation initiatives within energy, trading, or enterprise platforms is highly desirable.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with solution designers, developers, and vendors to address technical limitations and delivery expectations.
  • Configure and document software systems using industry best practices and agreed standards.
  • Coordinate testing phases, develop acceptance criteria, and validate that solutions meet business requirements.
  • Provide strategic direction for business analysis activities across projects.
  • Lead and coach business analysts, maintaining high delivery standards and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Engage stakeholders through structured workshops, design sessions, and regular communications.
