Role Summary

Aubay UK is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our client’s dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in shaping business demand and collaborating with project and product teams. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for capturing business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, translating them into solutions that drive business impact. The role involves assessing risks, modelling processes and data flows, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will act as a key interface between Project and Product Managers, Designers, Developers, and End Users to ensure seamless delivery of business requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Expertise in business analysis techniques, with a deep understanding of best practices in requirement gathering and process modelling. 
  • Strong experience in Agile methodologies, frameworks, and tools, with the ability to educate stakeholders in Agile ways of working. 
  • Ability to assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to identify improvements and optimise business operations. 
  • Experience interacting with software suppliers, designers, and developers to define system limitations and align solutions with business needs. 
  • Strong analytical skills to perform root cause analysis and develop strategic recommendations for business optimisation. 
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, leading large design sessions, and setting direction for business analysis activities. 
  • Ability to create compelling business cases, gaining approval, securing funding, and prioritising initiatives effectively. 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience managing teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior analysts. 
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA certification preferred. 
  • Lean Practitioner training and experience are an asset. 
  • Agile certifications/trainings preferred. 
  • Familiarity with DevOps, Git strategy, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient solution deployment. 

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and align requirements with business needs. 
  • Assess feasibility, risks, and opportunities, translating them into business functionality. 
  • Develop and maintain business models, ensuring traceability from requirements through testing to final solutions. 
  • Configure and document software and processes, using agreed standards and tools. 
  • Create and validate acceptance criteria to ensure solutions meet business objectives. 
  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control Business Analysis activities within defined cost, time, and quality parameters. 
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities, facilitating large design sessions and ensuring buy-in. 
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying innovative solutions to existing challenges.
