Role Summary

Aubay is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with expertise in Endur Back Office to join a leading energy sector client. This role involves deep understanding of settlement or confirmations processes (both Paper and eCMS) and requires strong leadership in business analysis activities within large programmes or strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will guide stakeholders through complex business change, manage vendor relationships, and champion the continuous development of Business Analysis capabilities across the organisation.

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Extensive domain experience in Energy trading environments, specifically with Back office.  
  • In Depth experience with ETRMs, specifically Endur Openlink.   
  • Deep experience in Settlement or Confirmations (Paper & eCMS) within Endur Back Office. 
  • Broad IT experience across various domains including business interface, project and service delivery, architecture, infrastructure, audit, compliance, information and data management. 
  • Strong knowledge of the integrated technology landscape, including current and emerging products and solutions. 
  • Proven team leadership experience. 
  • Experience working in Agile environments with a thorough understanding of Agile frameworks and methodologies. 
  • Skilled in Agile tooling, specifically VSTS or equivalent. 
  • Demonstrated ability to educate stakeholders including Product Owners and Business Partners on Agile practices. 
  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills. 
  • Degree-level education related to IT. 
  • Minimum 10 years’ IT experience, including 2+ years in IT management roles. 

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Agile certifications or formal Agile training. 
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) qualification preferred. 
  • Lean Practitioner training and experience are an advantage. 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Understand and keep up to date with relevant architectures and technologies related to the business area. 
  • Research and propose innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs. 
  • Manage interactions with technology vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives. 
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and business change management activities. 
  • Lead and mentor teams to complete business analysis across projects. 
  • Set strategic direction for business analysis activities within large programmes. 
  • Champion long-term Business Analysis capability development by bringing external insights, coaching colleagues on BA techniques, promoting best practices, and supporting community building initiatives. 
  • Act as a vocal advocate for change and work closely with executive-level stakeholders to understand their goals, motivations, constraints, risks, and operating environment. 
  • Guide business stakeholders to gain acceptance and sign-off on requirements despite competing objectives, focusing on the most impactful needs to advance strategic goals. 
  • Communicate complex technology concepts in clear, accessible language for business customers, managing and adjusting expectations in line with project scope changes. 
  • Generate innovative solutions to existing challenges and identify new opportunities.
