Role Summary

Aubay UK is seeking a senior Lead Endur Architect to own end‑to‑end technical design for major programmes or products, providing authoritative architectural leadership across integration, hosting, security and complex solution landscapes. The role requires an expert capable of diagnosing and resolving high‑complexity, non‑routine technical challenges, introducing best practices from wider industries, and shaping enterprise standards, patterns and technical procedures. This individual will act as a recognised subject‑matter authority, influencing business process and data redesign, driving architectural simplification, and developing new approaches and frameworks. They will engage confidently with senior business leaders, offering strategic guidance, signing off architectural exceptions where appropriate, and mentoring emerging architectural talent while ensuring alignment between technology decisions and business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to proactively engage, influence and align senior business and technical leaders.
  • High‑impact communication skills (written and verbal), able to articulate architectural viewpoints, decisions and trade‑offs clearly and appropriately for different audiences.
  • Strong business acumen, applying industry knowledge to connect technology decisions with business value, process optimisation and strategic outcomes.
  • Cross‑team collaboration, working effectively across architecture, engineering, product and business domains to drive coherent end‑to‑end solutions.
  • Decision-making authority, able to evaluate complex scenarios, sign off exceptions where appropriate, and provide authoritative architectural direction.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience applying industry best practices to improve architectural outcomes.
  • Familiarity with business process or data model design.
  • Exposure to large scale transformation or modernisation programmes.
  • Ability to mentor junior architects or contribute to architectural standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture for a major business segment or enterprise‑wide domain, overseeing complex solution designs and guiding teams at varying levels of seniority.
  • Own the end‑to‑end technical design for projects or products, covering integration, hosting, security, data flows and overall architectural coherence.
  • Diagnose and resolve high‑complexity, non‑routine technical challenges, providing authoritative recommendations that influence short‑ and medium‑term business performance.
  • Introduce and adapt best practices from other industries and markets, contributing to the development of architectural standards, patterns and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and modernise complex architecture landscapes, driving new approaches and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a recognised subject‑matter expert, offering strategic technical advice and shaping new processes, frameworks and technical operating environments.
  • Influence business process and data redesign by collaborating with process owners, data owners and other senior stakeholders.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with senior business leaders, ensuring alignment between architectural decisions and strategic objectives.
