Role Summary

Aubay is seeking an experienced Trading Operations SME with strong exposure to physical oil markets, to support the development of a next-generation AI-driven logistics platform. The role is focused on bringing deep, hands-on expertise across cargo execution, scheduling, and nominations within a trading environment, working closely with traders, operators and scheduling teams to translate real-world workflows into structured requirements for product development. You will partner closely with the Product Manager across both discovery and delivery phases, contributing to backlog refinement, functional design, and validation of solutions to ensure alignment with trading operations processes. This position sits at the intersection of operations and technology, requiring someone who understands the end-to-end trade lifecycle and can help shape how those processes are captured and scaled within a digital platform. The environment is a fast-paced, low-ego startup with a strong emphasis on ownership, collaboration and cross-functional working across international teams (UK, Portugal, Singapore, India and beyond), including regular client interaction and occasional travel. The role is hybrid with an expectation of attending the client office in London 2-3 days per week.
