Role Summary

Aubay UK is seeking an experienced Operational Project Manager to support stabilisation and risk reduction initiatives within a digital employee experience (DEX) and infrastructure-focused environment. This is a 6-month contract role requiring strong operational oversight, service performance improvement, and risk management capabilities. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to enhance system stability, availability, and long-term sustainability, ensuring alignment with non-functional requirements and operational excellence standards.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in operational project management with a focus on stabilisation and risk reduction
  • Strong understanding of service performance, stability, availability, incident and problem management
  • Experience managing operational expenditure (OPEX)
  • Infrastructure and environment literacy (capacity, resilience, production/non-production environments, change freezes)
  • Deep understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, availability, recoverability, supportability) and how to measure them
  • Strong analytical mindset to identify root causes and systemic issues
  • Executive-level communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Strong governance, risk management, and reporting experience
  • Vendor and stakeholder management experience
  • Relevant Project Management certification

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years in IT with 5+ years delivering complex projects (up to $5M, teams up to 20)
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience across cloud, mobile, SaaS, and digital platforms
