Role Summary

Aubay UK is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the definition, mobilisation, and delivery of a major business and technology transformation programme within a global Trading & Supply organisation. This role will be responsible for shaping future operating models, driving global process standardisation, establishing governance frameworks, and delivering strategic business outcomes across geographically dispersed teams. The successful candidate will lead discovery activities, develop business and investment cases, define delivery roadmaps, and manage execution from mobilisation through implementation. The ideal candidate will bring extensive programme and project management experience, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale, technology-enabled business transformation initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • 10+ years of project, programme, or transformation leadership experience 
  • Proven experience leading large-scale business transformation programmes  
  • Experience within Trading & Supply, Commodities Trading, or Energy Trading environments  
  • Knowledge of Supply & Demand, Planning, Supply Chain, or Commercial Operations  
  • Experience defining and implementing global operating models  
  • Strong programme and project management experience across Agile and Waterfall environments  
  • Experience delivering process standardisation and harmonisation initiatives  
  • Strong discovery, assessment, strategy, and mobilisation experience  
  • Experience developing business cases, investment proposals, and executive recommendations  
  • Strong governance, reporting, assurance, and risk management capabilities  
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, resources, risks, and dependencies  
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills  
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and third-party suppliers  
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent) 

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience delivering data-enabled transformation programmes  
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, and digital solutions  
  • Experience working with Databricks, Azure, or large-scale data ecosystems  
  • Experience establishing organisational change management frameworks  
  • Experience operating within complex global matrix organisations  
  • Strong strategic thinking and executive communication skills  
  • Degree qualification or equivalent professional experience

  • Define programme scope, objectives, success measures, roadmaps, and delivery approaches  
  • Develop business cases, investment proposals, benefits assessments, and strategic recommendations  
  • Establish programme governance, reporting structures, assurance frameworks, and decision-making processes  
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies  
  • Lead cross-functional teams across business, technology, and third-party suppliers  
  • Build strong relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders globally  
  • Drive organisational change, communications, stakeholder engagement, and business adoption activities  
  • Apply appropriate Agile and Waterfall delivery practices to achieve programme outcomes  
  • Ensure delivery of agreed business benefits within approved cost, quality, and timeline objectives
