Role Summary
Aubay UK is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a 6-month contract inside IR35 engagement in London. The role will provide technical leadership in designing and delivering modern data platforms, data foundations, and end-to-end data solutions across Data & AI readiness and enablement initiatives. The successful candidate will combine deep expertise in cloud data engineering, ELT, data modelling, and integration with the ability to engage senior business stakeholders and promote data-driven decision-making.
Required Skills and Experience
• Expert-level experience in AWS, Azure and/or SAP data platforms.
• Expert knowledge of ELT design and implementation.
• Expert data modelling capability.
• Expert experience in data integration and ingestion architectures.
• Strong data manipulation and processing expertise.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, Stream Analytics, Glue, Airflow, Kinesis, Redshift, SonarQube and PyTest.
• Proven capability designing enterprise-scale data platforms and data foundations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience driving data strategy and technology transformation.

• Experience leading Scrum teams or delivery teams.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with business planning and performance management solutions.
• Experience working with external technology partners and ecosystems.
