Role Summary
Aubay UK is seeking a Responsible AI Lead to support a major global energy sector client. This contract role will lead the implementation and adoption of Responsible AI principles across enterprise AI initiatives, ensuring AI solutions are designed, developed, governed and deployed in a safe, transparent and ethical manner. The role combines AI governance, risk management, regulatory alignment and stakeholder engagement to enable responsible innovation and business value realisation.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8-12+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, AI governance, model risk or technology risk
- Strong knowledge of Responsible AI principles and AI ethics
- Experience assessing AI risks, fairness, transparency, explainability and AI safety
- Experience leading AI governance and risk reviews for enterprise AI solutions
- Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle and model development practices
- Knowledge of AI risk management frameworks and governance processes
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide trusted advisory support
- Experience operating within complex enterprise or regulated environments
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience within large-scale energy, financial services or highly regulated organisations
- Experience developing AI policies, standards and control frameworks
- Experience supporting audit and assurance activities
- Experience delivering training, playbooks and organisational awareness programmes
Role Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Responsible AI standards, practices and guidance
- Define practical controls and assessment criteria for AI use cases
- Lead Responsible AI reviews for high-risk and business-critical AI solutions
- Assess bias, fairness, explainability, safety and unintended consequences
- Recommend mitigation actions that enable safe deployment of AI solutions
- Embed Responsible AI controls within AI lifecycle management and governance processes
- Support AI approval, risk review and governance forums
- Monitor emerging regulations, standards and industry best practices
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and adoption requirements
- Support audit and assurance activities
- Act as an enterprise subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Responsible AI
- Develop playbooks, training materials and awareness programmes
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability and responsible innovation
