Role Summary
Aubay UK is seeking a Governance Operations Lead to support a leading global energy organisation. This Contract Inside IR35 opportunity focuses on operationalising AI governance requirements across the AI lifecycle by embedding governance controls into platforms, MLOps processes and delivery pipelines. The successful candidate will lead governance operations, automation, compliance reporting and enterprise adoption activities while balancing risk management, regulatory obligations and business value realisation.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8-12+ years of experience in AI/ML, technology operations, governance, risk management or digital transformation
- Experience implementing enterprise governance processes and operating models
- Strong knowledge of AI lifecycle management and MLOps practices
- Experience with AI/ML platforms, DevSecOps, MLOps or enterprise data platforms
- Proven capability in operationalising controls and driving enterprise adoption
- Strong understanding of AI risk, controls, compliance and governance frameworks
- Experience developing governance metrics, dashboards and operational reporting
- Ability to collaborate across architecture, engineering, cybersecurity and data teams

Role Responsibilities
- Drive implementation of AI governance processes across the end-to-end AI lifecycle
- Embed governance controls into AI/ML platforms, MLOps pipelines and lifecycle management processes
- Own AI governance operations including AI registry, inventories, approvals and attestations
- Establish governance automation to improve compliance and reduce manual effort
- Ensure traceability, transparency and auditability of AI assets and decisions
- Develop governance metrics, dashboards and KPIs
- Partner with enterprise stakeholders to integrate governance into core platforms
- Support audit, regulatory and assurance activities through evidence management and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement of governance operating models, processes and tooling
